Personality:

The death of Bruce's parents affected him tremendously. While he accepts that he can't change what happened, he keeps the loss close to his heart and uses it as fuel for his motivation. His parents' deaths gave him an intensely obsessive nature, especially after years of searching for meaning yielded no leads and no closure.
The seed of "Batman" is born in Thomas Wayne's study after some soul-searching. Then, years of travel and study have brought Bruce finally to the main weapon in his arsenal: fear. Batman is born, and Bruce uses this motif both as a means to instill fear in his enemies and a way to funnel his lingering grief and anger. Through fear, Batman gets answers, cooperation, and often the upper hand in otherwise evenly matched situations. Sometimes, Bruce can even cut an intimidating figure where he should be more sympathetic.
At his core, Bruce's heart and motivations are in the right place. He wants peace for his city, and he wants safety for those trying to live normal lives. The legacy his father and mother left behind mean Bruce has to see to the well-being of Gotham. Bruce understands loss intimately, and nothing gets him hotter under the collar than senseless violence and murder, more so when it concerns children. Bruce also accepts that he is human, flawed, and he typically prefers to be alone for these reasons; he worries others will be hurt by being too close to him. (Surprise, they usually are. c':)
The bad part about Bruce's particular brand of justice is, at times, the execution. It verges on vengeance. Intelligent, logical, and rational, Bruce spends a great deal of time in his own head planning and thinking. He purposefully subdues his emotions, more so as Batman, believing they'll cause trouble and misjudgments in the field. In the end, this makes the line between both justice and vengeance blurry; Bruce won't kill, but he is fine with exerting brutal force against criminals, and he's fine with leaving them to rot. In contrast, he is sometimes too lenient with other criminals based on his own opinions of them.
Bruce, of course, won't kill. Anyone. The good guys, the bad guys, anything in between. Bruce won't pick up a gun unless it's to dismantle it (likewise with other deadly weapons), and anything he has built and uses himself are all non-lethal. This often gets him into a lot of philosophical arguments, but Bruce never stands down from considering it a dark pathway to becoming a monster. People who kill Are Wrong as far as he's concerned, and he does always make a valiant effort to keep others from killing, too.
And while Bruce believes in second chances and the opportunity for redemption, he doesn't (hypocritically) extend a helping hand to A-list criminals because he cares. In this way, Bruce is subconsciously selfish. He just doesn't want anyone's death to be on his hands, God forbid. Even criminals should die on their own time!
But this doesn't mean Bruce is inherently pure. He follows the code of legal Law, and, after apprehending bad guys, allows the police to handle the clean up. Yet Bruce also runs from the Law himself to ensure his best interest. He uses Jim Gordon for information and confidential help. He's been known for breaking and entering, interrogation, coercion, and stalking to get the information he needs. Without Batman, Bruce thinks, Gotham will be ruined by the corrupt and the wicked. Arrogant, perhaps, he's a stand-in mediator between criminals and the police force. A heavier hand. A justice to fear. Smarter, faster, more powerful than the police, but having more control, and doing what's right rather than what's easiest.
Plenty of A-list villains love to test just Batman's prowess anyway.
Personal relationships are trickiest for Bruce to handle. Even when he insists on doing a solo man's job, it's hard to collect a group of adoptable children and hide from them everything Batman. Plenty of Bruce's kids have become Robin and plenty have gone on to become their own catsuit-wearing vigilante much to Bruce's initial disapproval. It's hard for Bruce to split the stoic, cold, stern Batman from the charismatic, sympathetic, gentle Bruce Wayne when it comes to the rest of the Batfam and others who might happen to know he's both.
Alfred has been Bruce's Morality Chain for years; a soft, emotional, understanding man whose advice Bruce listens to without hesitation, though sometimes stubbornly. Other people who get along with Bruce even while in the suit are typically either easy going ones who follow orders without question, or those who pose reasonable solutions or come out of risk-taking unscathed. Bruce isn't above scolding anyone, though sometimes he does still fear (for the safety of those he cares about) and his anger, bottled and corked, often gets the better of him. If he can't walk it off or leave, he explodes, then cools, and then sometimes offers an apology.
Bruce has an incredibly hard time saying what he feels to the people who know him as both Batman and a Wayne. Of course, there's many Batmanesque reasons involved in staying an enigma, but even as Bruce, there's difficulty in saying emotionally charged statements like I love you or Good job to those of the Batfam; these are things he dishes out rarely. As Bruce, it's a little easier. Away from Batman, he has careful trysts, falls in love, and gladly gives condolences and sympathy to those who he thinks expects it of Bruce Wayne. He can give advice to other people on human interactions from an academic standpoint until he's blue in the face, but doing it himself is apparently 2hard2handle.
Flavor Abilities: Not sure if all of the physical training, martial arts, weaponry, and academic knowledge (geography, medical, computer, forensics etc) counts as flavor abilities, but those are totally a thing. Let me know about nerfing.
Suitability:
Horror!Bruce tho. I would love Bruce being stretched thin between having to deal with the Joker and other "criminals" and having to assist everyone else in survival. I hope people will take advantage of his typical kindness, and then he'll have to decide whether to keep being an altruistic moron or limit resource sharing. Good luck trying to control shit in this place, Bruce!
I want him to try to punch monsters only to find out that's a terrible idea. And I want him to hold people in his arms while they're dying painful deaths so he can cry himself to sleep later in a corner.
Also!! EFFECTS!! Bruce is already a damn mess of complexities, but it would be great to boost his insanity (he's totally insane) with something like mania or obsession. THE JUSTICE WON'T STOP. ONLY JUSTICE FOREVER.
Plus, I would love to have him come to terms with maybe stripping out of the suit or the Batman moniker since no one giveS A SHIT, BRUCE, IN HORRORBURY.
